The Scottish Government wanted to engage with children aged 7-12 using an app-based game to enhance their road safety awareness.
We created Klang: The Road Home. Klang, a clumsy robot from the planet Fendarr has crash landed in a Scottish town where, luckily he can find all the components he needs to fix his stricken ship. But unluckily for him, he doesn’t know how to cross the roads safely. That’s where you come in.
Navigate Klang around town to collect the objects he needs and collect cogs for customisation too. Along the way, you’ll have to pit your wits in a series of mini games to test your road safety skills. Oh, you better not hang around, as the ominous T.W.I.T.S agents are hunting Klang too, and they definitely aren’t friendly.
As well as the game. We created launch materials which were provided to schools. They were presented as a dossier of sightings. wanted posters and origin stories.
Schools were sent 'have you seen' posters which could be printed out and photocopied along with instructions to places them outside school gates at child's head height. A cost-effective but impactful solution to promote to the target audience.
